Allow user to download collection data

I have seen methods to download files contained at URLs  on this forum, and I have read up export data controls but what I am actually trying to do is to allow the user to download a collection as an XLS file, using (eg) an onselect() property of a button/label.

This seems very a very obvious/simple thing to do, so sincere apologies if I have missed any guidance here.

Additionally, if any charts have been generated within powerapps (pie/bar charts), is there any way to export these directly (in addition to the underlying data) to excel?

***EDIT: I've had a look at how to export data to a static worksheet but I'm left very confused. The guidance suggests 'opening list of records in the app' (??a collection? a gallery? sharepoint? Static data? What is referred to here?!) then 'select the arrow to the right of 'export to excel'-where is this arrow/icon/button? Next to the data source/gallery/collection/table? I presume I'm looking in the wrong area?) ***

Thanks!

    Hi @Anonymous ,

1)Do you want to export collection data to an excel file?

If you want to generate an excel file by using collection data, then you need to use flow.

Just in PowerApps, it's not supported.

Here's a similar issue for your reference:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Converting-powerapps-collection-to-excel-spreadsheet/m-p/404441

If you want to update excel file by using collection data, then using PowerApps is ok.

I suggest you update your excel file to one drive. Then connect your app with one drive, choose this excel file.

    Try this formula:

    Collect(exceltabalename,collectionname)

Then doc that you listed is talking about exporting data of model-driven app to excel. The collection is in canvas app. That way not works for canvas app.

2)Exporting charts to excel is not supported in PowerApps.

I suggest you express your views about adding this function on PowerApps Ideas Forum. Your precious feedback will be very helpful for our work.
