No unmanaged layer for option sets

Hi - I need some help to understand how solution layers work for option sets. I have added a new option set (Choices) to my environment using a managed solution and made some changes outside the managed solution. Doing so, I expected to see an unmanaged layer which I can then remove if needed. But I don't see the unmanaged layer when I check solution layers.

I do see managed solutions listed here in case the same option set is extended from another managed solutions.

Happy to add any screenshots if it helps.

Thanks,

Bhargav

    Hi  @BhargavPrasadG ,

I did a test on my side. As you describe, this is currently not achievable.

If you modify the choice component manually in the target environment , it will not create an unmanaged layer.

So you can't roll back to the previous state by removing the layer.

I suggest you create a new idea.

Thank you for testing this out at your end and sharing the observations @v-xiaochen-msft. Our team made some changes manually on one of the environments and were hoping to do a roll back. Looks like there is no way to do that at the moment without un-installing and re-installing that managed solution.

I've submitted a new idea as per your suggestion.

    Thank you!
