Edit text field to view text in canvas not showing all text when user is entering a lot of text

Hi!

I have a problem that I hope someone can save me with!

I am using edit text fields to view data entered in the app on a page with a datacard. ( I am not using forms as it is not possible to edit the view as much as I need). I need the text to look like a word page as I later will send it as a pdf with a flow.

The problem is however;

The edit text fields does only show the text that is entered that fits the size i have made for the box in the view/page/datacard. This means that if a person where to enter more text that the size of the edit text field it will not view all of it. Let me show you in a photo of a test;

canvasedittext.PNG

As you can see, all of the text is not possible to view as it is more text that what the box is. If i make the box really big it will look strange in a pdf / word view which is the entire purpose as it will be sent as a letter by mail.

Are there any work arounds here? for example code the box to adjust after the text? I mean in a form the view will be adjusted, so should be possible without a form as well?

Thank you so much in advance ❤️

    there is an Auto height option which you could turn on.

    nevertheless in your case I would apply for the HTML control which has also a Auto height option but unlike the label control it gives you a scroll bar as well
    so give it a try and let me know

    Hi @sandy7 ,

    You could consider setting the height of this TextInput control to dynamic, for example,

    Set the TextInput control's Height property to:

    40*(Len(Self.Text)/50)

    Best Regards,

    Bof
