Unable to edit PowerApps Entity in Excel due to Add-In Error

I am using the Microsoft Common Data Service to store information I am currently using for an app in PowerApps. The original excel file was made and populated by a colleague but I have complete access to the app and should have the ability to edit data. When I attempt to download and open the entity via excel, I get the error:

ADD-IN INFORMATION Web add-ins can't run because all online content in Office is blocked. Go to the Trust Center to change your privacy settings.

I have changed every setting within the Trust-Center that seems to be inline with this error but have yet been able to find a solution (Add-ins, Privacy Options, Trusted Documents, etc.)

Again the App was not made or is owned by me but I have complete editing privileges. I made a temporary app that was owned by me to see if the issue was in permission with PowerApps, but had the same issue so I know the problem in inherent to Excel. I am using Office 2016 and Windows 7.

    Hi @Anonymous,

Make sure teh following options are configured as below:

1.Make sure Let office connect to online services from Microsoft to provide functionality that is relevant to your usage under File->Options->Trust Center->Privacy options is selected,

    2. Make sure settings underTrusted add-in catalogs is all cleared,

    Then save the option settings,

Further, if still you are encountering this error, check your Windows firewall settings, see if any service or connections are blocked there.

Further, you may also take a try to ask in the office Excel professional forum for further assistance:

    Regards,

    Michael

Hi @v-micsh-msft, I tried the setting you suggested. What is happening now is when I 'Open in Excel' one of the entities form the Power Apps portals, the excel file will download. I will open it and 'enable editing' when prompted. Although now the issue of the popup with containing the add-in error does not appear anymore. I can edit the excel file no problem, but the add-in does not appear at all and it appears to be a standalone excel file. Therefore there is no 'publish' button to push new data to the app.

    Hi,

I am getting this error from few days and can't edit any table data in Excel--> ADD-IN INFORMATION Web add-ins can't run because all online content in Office is blocked. Go to the Trust Center to change your privacy settings.

Even after checking all settings in Excel Trust Center and firewall settings. The issue remains.

What else can i do to resolve this. Any suggestions??

    Thanks in advance.
