Strange problem with attachment control

Good evening everyone. I am trying to use the attachment control in the edit form to upload documents to a sharepoint document library. I don't understand why when I copy the attachment control and paste it outside the edit form I only get the message "There are no attachments" and the clickable "Attach file" message doesn't appear into the control. I can't figure it out, I hope you can help me. Thanks
I have the same question (0)

I would not copy and paste. There are so many changes happening with supporting XML/Z copy and paste, I would simply create the attachment control in the Control.

What I do not understand is, why are you not just clicking the + sign and saying Add the Attachment Control, versus trying to paste one in. That looks more like you copy and pasted the Card not just the Attachment control but I could be wrong.

Why does it need 2 different attachment controls in the same form?

To add to what @Michael E. Gernaey has posted, once you copy a control of any sort outside a Form, it is no longer "bound" to the record displayed in the Form, therefore will not contain any data (in this case attachments). It is a good tool for uploading Library documents (I use it regularly),  however the Attach file should appear - I have seen other posts concerning this aspect recently and could be a version bug.
There are also some other properties that need to be deleted to get rid of the errors.

    Hi,

I am also having an issue with the attachment control no longer giving me an option to Attach file.

I have been using this control, by copying it out of the form and then modifying it and never had a problem until last week when it started not letting me add attachments.

My Apps where I have this implemented this are still working. But for how long :-)

ANy clues as to what is happening would be most appreciated.

Tested here  - definitely a (concerning) bug - tried three different authoring versions and got the same result (no Attach file option).
However all is not lost - put in a Form with a DataSource that has attachments (any SP List) - do not worry about an Item, but set the Default Form Mode to New and add the Attachments field. Make the Card the full height of the Form and the control the full dimensions of the Card. It will all work exactly the same as one outside a Form.
You may also want to Reset the Form to clear the selection after you upload the file.

I'm facing the same issue. It works in one screen and in other it won't work even though Copy pasted the same. If anyone has found an alternative or workaround, kindly share it here.

I have tried your workaround using both the classic and the modern form and I'm still having the same issue. From the screenshots below do I appear to be doing the correct thing?

My example is for a Classic Form and control - I do not use Modern Forms currently. If you simply add the control "normally" (add the attachment field to the Form), it should be correct (I can see one in the left of your screenshot). You simply need for that to be the only control in the form (you are not actually using the Form) and run the Flow from its attachments.

I am also having this problem and I need to use the attachments control outside of the form.

    Hi!

What I found is that nowadays whenever you copy an attachment control, the DisplayMode property seems to be removed from the YAML code. As a result, it visually seems stuck in DisplayMode.View, but you can still drag and drop files on the control.

The only reliable way I found to add new attachment controls is by adding a form to the screen with an attachments datacard and then drag and drop it to the screen from the form:
