Hi All,

New to Power Apps and wanted to ask for help regarding a feature that i wanted to include on a form.

I have a sharepoint list that tracks transactions done by employee (EmployeeTransaction List).

And another list for Employee Details.

I followed along the tutorials and i thought i was confident enough to build an app on my own.

the feature that i cant figure out is when.

The employee enters on the badge number field. the employee name should fill in with the name of the said employee based on the Badge Number.

Ive tried the LookUp formula.

LookUp('EmployeeList',Title_Column1.Text = Badge,Name)

Title_Column1.Text is the value of the badge number on the image below

ohraytyroo-1_0-1605821730972.png

But nothing happens.

I have the display mode of the employee name as disabled so that it cant be edited.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @Anonymous ,

You need to refer to the control on the form, so

    LookUp(
     'EmployeeList',
     Badge=YourBadgeNmuberBoxName.Text
    ).Name

should get you the value you need (assuming you field/list names are correct). On the OnChange of the Badge Number text box, reset the other one

    Reset(YourNameTextBox)
