Using Gallery to be able to Search a list of customers. Want to Select a customer.. and populate relevant fields. I THINK I have done this side correctly. But also want the Gallery to hide or disappear (after selecting a customer) to allow me progress down the phone to populate the rest of the App. Please.

    @mikemaccarthy
On the OnSelect of your gallery, set a variable to false.

    Set(varGalleryVisible, false)

Set the Visible property of the gallery to this variable.

Then, on the OnSelect of a button or icon that you might have to close the details view of the selected record, use this:

    Set(varGalleryVisible, true)

Let me know if this helps.

    Hardit,

    Thanks for replying.

    you suggest 3 stages -

    1 OnSelect - Gallery  --  Set(varGalleryVisible, false)

    2 Visible - Gallery  --  Set(varGalleryVisible, false)

    3 OnSelect - Icon within the gallery  -- Set(varGalleryVisible,true)

Once i do option 2.... the whole gallery hides... so can't process 3.

Then do - 1,3,2 and Gallery is Blank.

Run the App... and Gallery still Blank.

    Thoughts.

@mikemaccarthy here are the 3 steps:

    1 OnSelect - Gallery  --  Set(varGalleryVisible, false)

    2 Visible - Gallery  --  varGalleryVisible

3 OnSelect of a button to close the details of the selected record  -- Set(varGalleryVisible, true) This is so the gallery can be made visible again

Sugar. I must not be intelligent enough! Not working for me. I have tried doing for the whole gallery and a record within the gallery.

Start with a list of 100 customers. Search box (via filter formula on the gallery) reduces to one customer. select an icon on this record  (within the Gallery) which then populates some other fields. But I am stuck with the Gallery still displaying when there is now no need to see same.

Apologies and thanks for any help you can offer.

Can you please tell me what you mean by "which then populates some other fields"? Where are you showing details of the selected record?

Haha no, its all good! It does make sense and what I suggested should work. Is it possible for you to get on a call? hardit.bhatia@thepoweraddict.com

    1 OnSelect - Gallery  --  Set(varGalleryVisible, false)

2 Visible property of Gallery & Search Box --  varGalleryVisible

3 OnSelect of X icon in your screenshot  -- Set(varGalleryVisible, true) This is so the gallery can be made visible again
