HiI am able to connect copilot to my SharePoint, but it is only retrieving links of documents that too only doc and pptx not xlsx or workbooks or any other format.How do I resolve this.
- How do I get file instead of file links.( Power Automate Flow is my last option for retrieving as it's too slow)
- How do I include and have more relevant document (pdf,doc,xlsx,pptx)
Actually what I want to know is
I have a sharepoint with 10 files a,b, ...., jIf I say copilot to get a from sharepoint it returns <sharepointurl>/a.extensionwhat I want is in the chat itself the original file instead of <sharepointurl>/a.extension like an attachment in email we can download. So that it removes going to sharepoint
What is the difference between providing a link and providing an attachment? How would the UX differ?
for the latter I can send email directly but for the former I need to download the file from attachment and the end user may have to be given access to the file if given link which I don't want to.I also need to create a flow as per my knowledge to send file from links which would be very slow
I'm not following, sorry. Can you describe the desired user experience, step by step?
OkayStep 1: Flow <1>
So here I have GenAI + Data from SharePointStep2:
I ask for a document x.Response <sharepointURL>/x.doc
Now That goes into chat window <2>
Now I can send this response to whom I want by
<3>
But I want to add this as an attachment Not link I want to send an email with attached document No link in the message like <2>Alternatives I know of:
Can use a flow/power Automate to add flow to get link and then doc but:
- Too much time required in flow
- parsing text + links in <2> to only links is hard
I don't know of any other way to achieve that other than scraping links and triggering a Power Automate flow. On another not, I'm still not convinced I understand the value of this user experience.
