Date will not show in the correct format of dd/mm/yyyy

Howdy!

So i'm creating my first Dataverse for Teams canvas app and i am struggling with the date format. In the dataverse table it shows as mm/dd/yyyy even though my regional settings are set to Australia.

In the form in my app, it also displays as mm/dd/yyyy.

But when i hover over the 'value' property, the sample is displaying correctly as dd/mm/yyyy.

As you can see in the formula bar, i have tried using Text commands to force it but it still refuses to display as dd/mm/yyyy in the form.

Would really appreciate some help!

Thank you

Shannon

It is look like that Modern control is not accepting the custom formats in the Format property.

Try to use the classic one it is accepting the custom format.

Thanks @MichaelFP for your reply. I don't seem to have the Format property available.

I've tried to add a new date picker box and it the same - no format property, only 'Value'.

Is there a way to revert back to classic mode?

    Thanks
    Shannon

@SS-11082242-0 you can select the classic control in the list of components. I you will need to remove modern control and add the classic. it is not possible to convert in place.

    Hi Michael

I don't have an option for a classic date picker. When I add a new date picker, it is exactly the same as the one in the form. This is the case whether I add a new one to the existing form or outside of the form. Screen shot below.

I still dont have a Format property.

    Hello

this one is the classic control. Please check the version of your maker.

In the main tool bar click on the three dots > Settings

After select support and check the version of the Auhtoring Version.

Try to use the most recently.

The Format property will not appear on right property menu, only in the formula bar.

Ok thank you. I have tried going back to that version and no luck.

As you can see, the date in the formula bar is correct, but it refuses to display correctly in the form:

I have tried adding a new field but it makes no difference. I have tried removing the form and recreating from scratch. Still no difference.... :(

Just as a reminder, I am using Dataverse for Teams as the datasource. Not sure if that makes any difference...?

Quick update - I reached out to Microsoft Support and they have advised the issue i am experiencing is a known issue and is currently being worked on.

The temporary work around is to copy and paste a DatePicker control from another screen within the same app. I tried this and I still got the same result.

What i have ended up doing, was opening an existing PowerApp from the PowerApp Studio (completely separate from the app i am creating), copying a DatePicker field from that App and pasting it into the form in the new app.

This has given me the DatePicker in the classic format which i can now set the formatting correctly.

It's a bit messy but at least gives me what i need for this app while MS work on fixing the bug.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I really appreciate your assistance.
