We are noticing starting today that emails created with "Send an email notification (V3)" are not being received. To test, I created a Power Automate that has only 2 actions, one to send an email using V3 and another to send email using V2. Only the V2 email is received. Any advice as to whether this is a problem on the Microsoft end and if it's a temporary problem? I'd prefer not to have to change all of our Power Automates to use send email V2 if can be avoided.
Our service appears to have resumed as well.
This is exactly why i also prefer v3.
However after discussing with microsoft support, they informed me that v3 was recommended not to use anymore and its deprecated.
Hopefully they sold the issue with v2 to allow for anonymous/generic senders.
Thanks for the responses. Email delivery resumed about 4 hours later. We shouldn't have exceeded limits or been in a 'throttling' situation so not sure what the problem was exactly. Our main reason for using V3 over V2 is that V3 uses the generic Microsoft name as the email sender which we prefer over using the Power Automate developer names.
same here. Confirmed that we didnt receive any emails from PA. Not a matter of us blocking if we arent receiving them at all.
Adding my voice here. We have dozens of Power Automate flows that we've suddenly stopped receiving emails successfully from V3. Nothing has hit our servers or is in quarantine. Power Automate says they were sent successfully.
I'm also having a similar problem starting yesterday. All email tasks are marked success but they aren't being delivered. Tried my personal email address thinking an email policy had changed at the office.
Hey @dschmitz
I always suggest people to use V2 over V3. This is because of the limitation of V3.
V3 has a limitation of 100 mails in 24 hours and V2 has 900 mails in 60 seconds.
So, I will always suggest you to use V2 to send emails.
Just a question, did you send 100 mails in the last 24 hours, just to reach the actual conclusion of 100 mails in the last 24 hours.
You can check the following link to get more difference between v2 and v3:

I hope this helps. 🙂
If I answered your question, you can mark this as a solution and also give a thumbs up. 🙂
