Modern Control Date Picker does not change date format

When I change the date picker format from "'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.LongAbbreviated" to 'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.Short or 'DatePickerCanvas.Format'.YearMonth, the picker itself does not change the date format based on setup.
 
Do you have the same issue?
