Hi Team,

We need to configure dataverse in D365 for finance and operations(D365FO), for below actions.

1.  Once we configure dataverse in D365FO, we can see  the data in dataverse in power platform portal, in tables  - this contains data from D365FO

2.  We will build power apps such as model driven, canvas by referring dataverse of D365FO in power platform - this contains data from D365FO

Please guide me how to do this configuration..

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @krishnapwa

There are quite a few options and mechanism to acheive that and this touches the overall solution architecture of your organization which needs careful analysis. However here are guides to the out-of-the-box option. Suggest to take the time to go through these links:

    Hope this helps!

the above issue has been fixed.

While syncing data entity 'payment days' getting below error, I am not sure why , it's a standard entity by the way. noticed that it's happening for every entity.

'Project validation failed. [DIPV1002] SourceEntitySchema: Payment days CDS has a primaryCompanyField set to DataAreaId and DestinationEntitySchema: msdyn_paymentdays doesn't have primary company field set. Dual-write only supports mapping between cross-company entities or company-specific entities from both sides.'

find below screenshot for the reference.

    Can anyone please guide here..

I am also getting same error,

Entity doesn't have primary company field set. Dual-write only supports mapping between cross-company entities or company-specific entities from both sides.

Any luck to fix this error.

I figured it out yesterday. Firstly I recommend you to run a dual-write with a cdm_company (I hope you have this in your dual-write list, I had it - Picture 1). Then you should go to your msdyn_paymentdays table in PowerApps and create a row with a "Lookup" data type and link it with the Company table (Picture 2). The final step is to define this row in integration keys (Picture 3).

I hope this helps. I spent a day trying to resolve the same problem and it helped me.

    Hi @RK800-1 ,

The new company lookup row created doesn't show up in Integration Keys.
Should we create a Keys in Powerapps?

    Hi @abhizc

Yes, it is better to create all keys in Power Apps, however You can also create them in Dual write manually.

    Hi @RK800-1

We tried adding the keys but still facing the same error. The following are details:

    Scenario 1:

    In F&O:
Table: Fixed Asset V2, FixedAssetNumber is the Key

    In PowerApps:
    CustomTable: EX_FixedAsset Table,
    Column1: New lookup to Company(cdm_company)
    Column2: FixedAssetID

    Key: fixedassetid
    Key_Poerapps.png

In the Integration Keys if we select the AssetID

    IntegrationKey_F&O.png

We face the above mentioned error
    F&O_Error.png

    or

    Scenario 2

    If we select,
    Company.cdm_companycode in Integration Key

then there's an error for missing company field mapping

Even if we map to some other field it throws an error as the key fields are nor mapped
