Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with Microsoft 365 Copilot agents in Teams.
-
We have added a SharePoint site as a knowledge source for our Copilot agent.
-
In personal chats, the agent successfully searches and retrieves answers from the SharePoint knowledge base.
-
However, in Teams group chats and channels, the agent responds to questions but does not search the SharePoint knowledge base. It only provides general answers, ignoring the connected SharePoint source.
We have verified the following:
-
The SharePoint site is accessible to the agent and all participants.
-
Permissions for the SharePoint site and the application are correctly configured.
-
The issue occurs consistently only in channels (personal chat works fine).
Could you please confirm if this is a known limitation of Copilot in Teams channels, and if so, whether there is a roadmap or ETA for enabling SharePoint knowledge sources in channels?
This functionality is critical for our organization, as we would like to use Copilot with SharePoint knowledge in team collaboration spaces (channels), not only in personal chat.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
