External NFC Card Reader with my App

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to get my NFC ACR1255U-J1 to work with my Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 either via USB or Bluetooth so that I can use it with my PowerApps app which I've created for our staff to clock in and clock out.

I've downloaded the android USB driver to the tablet and if I open the Reader Test app then it picks up the reader fine but if I try and use it within PowerApps then it doesn't work, it just says Ready to Scan. The card reader beeps twice when I swipe my card but doesn't do anything. I have created a test PowerApps app with the below code in a button, can you help me to get the card reader working with PowerApps please?

Set(tagID, Coalesce(nfcData.Identifier, "No ID"));
Set(tagValue, Coalesce(First(nfcData.NDEFRecords).Text, "No Data"));
