Uninstall CoE Starter Kit and related apps?

Hi, we recently installed the CoE Starter Kit into our default environment believing that I could make use of the app theming features. However, we found that this use requires a subscription, which we do not want at this time.

We would like to uninstall the Starter Kit and its related apps. However, the apps do not respond to the Delete action within PowerApps, and there does not seem to be any documentation for how to uninstall the Starter Kit.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

I have the same question (0)

Did you delete the CoE solution package first? By deleting the solution package it should remove all the components that came with that solution package.

    Thanks for the comment Jeff.

That's the thing. I looked for this option, but I did not see an obvious place to do this. In the Solutions area for our environment at make.powerapps.com, I currently see the following:

    • Theming
    • Power Apps Checker Base
    • Power Apps Checker
    • Contextual Help Base
    • Contextual Help
    • Common Data Services Default Solution
    • Default Solution

None of these is obviously labeled as being related to the CoE Starter Kit.

We are new to PowerApps and do not wish to delete something necessary. Is there something else I should be looking for?

    Thanks in advance.

The CoE Starter kit is made up of many solution packages based on different modules (Core, Governance, Nuturing and etc). The core solution is the first one you install and then you install the others based on need and readiness. The core solution would show up in solutions view as "Center of Excellence - Core Components".

If you don't see any of the CoE solution packages you installed then in the solutions view click on history and that will give you a view of all the install, upgrades and uninstalls.

We have managed to get it sorted.

The source of the confusion was that since we specifically wanted app theming, we apparently did not install the entire CoE package, just the Theming components (which was described as an option). However, this does not carry any CoE branding in the Solutions list, so it wasn't immediately clear to us if there were additional dependent solutions.  But a check of the installation dates steered us in the right direction, as you suggested.

    Thanks for the help.

My apologies for reviving a somewhat old topic, but I figured it's better than starting a new one.

I installed the Center of Excellence - Core Components solution a couple of weeks ago to check it out. I now want to uninstall it again but am running into problems when trying to do so. I keep getting the message:

Failed deleting solution Center of Excellence - Core Components. Solution dependencies exist, cannot uninstall.

    The dependency is the following:

The main reason I want to delete the CoE - Core Components solution is that for some reason a newly created solution that has nothing at all to do with the CoE solution now also has a dependency on that CoE Core - Outlook Connection Reference, which then causes problems when I want to import that new solution into another environment.

I have to say, the hassle that comes with wanting to uninstall the CoE is enough for me to not even want to bother installing it, it seems to cause too many issues. I guess that's why they recommend installing the CoE in its own environment, that way it can't mess up other existing or new solutions.

Anyway, any help with getting CoE uninstalled would be greatly appreciated.
