How to add Adaptive card Input.Text default value based from a Variable?

    The issue is you are wrapping it in double quotes and turning it into a string.
     
    You should only need to put Topic.VariableName, this is of course as long as you did this in Formula Mode. If you wrote it in JSON mode, then you have to use "@{variables('myvariablenamehere')}"
