HOW TO ENABLE DATA OPTION IN POWER APPS IN MODEL-BASED

Hello everyone.

 

I create an app based in a model that already brings PowerApp, and I saw it did not come with the data option.

 

Example:

This is my app without the data option.

And this is other app with that option

 

 

How I can activate that option?

    Hi @Anonymous,

    That option is when Common Data Service (CDS) is enabled on your environment. You can enable it by the following steps:

    1. https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com, select you're environment
    2. Click "Add Database"

    3. A left pane will open, pick your Language and Currency and then click Add. It might take several minutes to provision.
    4. After it's completed, you can go back to make.powerapps.com, expand data and then manage your entities.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

     

    You need to opt-in the following feature to enable the improved data source selection experience from PowerApps studio- File Settings-Advanced Settings.
