Hello,
I'm in a situation where an existing Power Apps app is using a SQL Server Connector (SQL Server - Connectors). Up until recently, we did not need a Per App/Per User license to use this connector, even though it's currently marked as a Premium Connector. I suspect this may have been due to being "grandfathered" in by an O365 E3 license situation.
In reality, the SQL server that my app is connecting to is an Azure SQL server.
I'm trying to figure out if there are any standard connectors I can convert the SQL tables into, so that I can keep using this app without having to use a premium connector.
Does anyone have suggestions for standard connectors that can host tabular data or is a type of SQL database?
This SQL server isn't hosting that much data. It is hosting a lot of strings (like sentences and paragraphs). So, I've thought about using an Excel file, which is obviously not the most efficient, but it may work for what I need.
In older posts, I see Azure SQL connector mentioned as a standard connector (Solved: PowerApps Plan Change 2/1/2019 - Power Platform Community, Solved: Did the SQL connector change? - Power Platform Community ). But, from what I can tell, that is no longer the case. Can someone confirm this?
At the end of the day, I'm basically trying to do determine if there's a way for me to use a standard connector and achieve the same functionality I currently have. If you have any experience in doing something like this or thoughts, that would be much appreciated.
