I am attempting to share access to interact with a bot with a specific user or group. When I add users via the "share" menu, they are all added with manager-level permissions, and I don't see a way to edit the permission level? What am I missing? The experience seems a bit different from the documentation... I am using manual auth (SharePoint generative answers) if that matters.
What is it that you are trying to achieve? Limit bot access for a specific group of end users?
I'm trying to let a specific group of users chat with the bot, but not the entire organization. My understanding was I had to share the bot to do that, right? So I've set "entire organization" to "none" and am now trying to share the basic permission level (not manager) with a group.
Make sure you are referencing a security group (as opposed to a 365 group)
Oh, I see what it is now - it won't let me change the access level for specific users. I was starting with a test user before adding the AD group. It does work for AD groups... are there plans to add M365 group support here as well?
Not that I know, but I'm glad it is working now 🙂
