I don't see Cards (Preview) tab in Power apps maker portal

Hi guys,

there is new Cards designer feature in Preview, but I cannot make it display. Documentation doesn't say anything about what is needed to set it up, what features need to be turned on or any permissions/roles what I need.

I even created my own trial tenant (in Slovakia), so I am the top admin and still cannot see it. It should be available in Europe, so do you have any clue, what I need to set up?

Hello @LukasKo,

This feature is currently in preview. This means that you'll have to use the preview version of make.powerapps.com to make it appear.
To be able to use the feature, your environment must also be hosted in the United States. In environments from other regions the Cards section will show up, but all functionality will be disabled.

Hi @joe_hannes_col , thank you for the quick response. I tried make.preview.powerapps.com, but still don't see it. But it's maybe as you said, my tenant is not in US region. So I have to wait until it's in Europe. Thanks.

The Cards for Power Apps preview is not limited to US tenants only (the underlying Cards infrastructure may be served from US based Azure instance, though). However, we have seen this on many occasions that users even in the same tenant are sometimes unable to view the Cards menu item in the Power Apps maker portal - even when other users have been able to access it.

This happened in our tenant initially back in October, where users accessing the system from Portugal did see the option, and users coming from Finland did not. It eventually got resolved for us but I think there may be intermittent issues in how Microsoft is applying geo filtering to this preview feature.

Keep trying to clear the browser cache, create a new trial environment within the tenant, test whether a VPN helps. Eventually Cards may show up for you as well!😅
