To extract data from excel using power automate and use it in power virtual agents

Hi Community,

I've one doubt about how to create a flow that will extract data from the excel (for e.g., data in excel will be like there are 4 no. of rows and multiple columns) and use it in power virtual agent, so when the user search for the keywords that has the name in the excel the flow should give the output based on the input by the user.

Kindly help with this.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

As a test, I created and Adaptive Card and request the user Name, Email and Phone Number.

So, after the user Submit the details it will trigger a flow that will bring the information from a Sharepoint excel spreadsheet.

See screenshot of the flow below:

    I hope it helps.

    Cheers,

    Thanks @fernandosilva,

I'm using PVA in teams so there is no availability of adaptive cards, and my question is to extract the data from excel table like one rows is for question and second row is for the answer, so when the user asks for certain question if it has the relevant question, it should answer the question.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

You could just create topics and the triggers in PVA then.

You won't need a spreadsheet for that and will give you less headache.

    Cheers,

    Hi @fernandosilva,

That sound good but there are more number of rows and columns, I want to fetch the data from the excel,

suppose there are 5 columns and 20 rows, In first row it contains questions and remaining contains answer of that question, how can we solve it. So if the use asks the questions it should triggered to the specific question and give the answer.

    Thanks in advance
