Canvas App white side part in play mode

Hi everyone,

I have this problem with Power Apps:

When i am in edit mode, the power apps show my project in this mode:

edit mode.PNG

And this is correct, but when i share my project and I open it in play mode, i see this screen:

run mode.PNG|

As you can see, I underline the white part with an red rectangle.

The question is: how i can delete this white part, if i can't see it on edit mode?

Thank you for attention

    Hi @Anonymous,

If you want to lock the aspect ratio to the one within the app editor, you will have to enable 'Scale to fit' and 'Lock Aspect Ratio' settings. You can find these by navigating to the app settings from within the editor, go to Display Settings and enable the following settings:

This will, however, create a grey border when playing the app. Should you want to create apps that take advantage of the full screen size, you can leave these settings off but will need to adapt your x, y, height and width values. My first guess would be that you are using hardcoded width values (Width: 1366).

You will have to make these dynamic according the the parent. For example: your header width should be Parent.Width instead of a number. There is a lot more that you can do with responsive design, so I will link some interesting documentation that you could go through. There are also numerous video tutorials on this topic, should you prefer video format.

If this solves your question, would you be so kind as to accept it as a solution.

    Thanks!
