I have a PCF Contol that displays label for a field. I want my control to be appended on an option set field. So that both my option set field (which is not made through PCF) and my PCF control for label must be visible together. Is this possible?
I tried checking and unchecking the "Hide default control" option, but it's not working for me.

Would it work in your case to have the option set twice on the form? one as normal option set and another using your PCF control? If that is not an option then I think you should implement the dropdown element within your PCF control.

No, the PCF control will replace the original control, the only way is to append a label control in your PCF.

Using the field twice on the form is the only available option as pointed by @Anonymous .
OOB controls are not available for modification or compositing yet.
