Using Formulas in Components

Hi Folks,

I am new to power apps and was just trying to use formulas I defined within the components I was creating.

But it is not able to identify the name I am defining in the formula section.
FYI, On the screens it is working fine.

Is that a limitation in using Formulas in power apps? Any workaround for this would be truly appreciated.

Formula I wrote:
CurrentUser= Office365Users.UserProfileV2(User().Email);

Error I am getting in the Text column of a Component's text label.

    hey

    you can not use a formula in a component. Does not work this way. You would need to set Input and Output in Components.

    Hello,

    Formulas require allowing access by the component to the app context.
    You can use formulas after that, for example:
    The highlighted function allows me to add fading to the color and brighten or darken it as needed.
    It also works as a Dark/Light mode feature where the color is swapped out in another formula.

    What you're looking for is this toggle: Access app scope

    While I did have to use an input for it.
    Disabling the Access app scope toggle would give me errors basically immediately.
