Model Driven App, Custom Table Icons and 'the new look'

Hiya,

I've encountered an issue within a Model Driven App I'm working on which I believe is due to the Fluent UI changes developed for Model Driven Apps (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/user/modern-fluent-design).

I have created a number of icons for custom tables which display as expected when the 'new look' feature is turned off -MDA_ICONS_NOTFLUENTUI.png.

When the feature is turned on, they don't look so good - MDA_ICONS_FLUENTUI.png.

Applicants (Contact entity) is using the ootb icon which works in both cases therefore it must be an issue with the custom icons.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

I can turn off the feature however I don't really think that is resolving the issue so it would be good to get the icons working in the new Fluent UI.

Thanks in advance!

It seems that if you customize using the old interface there were no restrictions on the image type you could use. The new look requires the image to be a scalable vector graphic (svg). If you customize your app using the new interface, choices are restricted to svg images. Check out https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/change-custom-entity-icons

I am having the same issue even with .svg files. Any custom images new look does not like it. I am facing other issues as well with New Look in MDA.
