YAML Code Doesn't Paste

I am trying to paste YAML code into a different app.  I view and copy the code for a control in one app and paste it into VS Code to modify it.  Then I try to paste it into a different app -- or the same app.  I always get the message "The clipboard doesn't contain any YAML code to paste."  Yet, I can paste perfectly into Notepad.  I can not find any reason for this.  Can someone please investigate?

I have the same question (0)

I continually have this exact same message appear. It's almost 2 months since your post, and this still appears to the only place on the internet that the message is referenced.

Same deal as you - I can paste into notepad so I know the clipboard contains the copied YAML. I get the same result in both Teams Power Apps editor and on the web editor.

The tenant I am working in is in Australia and is Higher Education with A licenses, could be a region/datacentre thing?

I also have this issue and its driving me nuts. I have been wondering if its something to do with my browser settings, but I have the same issue with Edge and Chrome.

I am also using a tenant that is based in Australia.

Ironically, just after posting that I have also had the issue, I have stumbled upon an answer that works for me.

Make sure that the URL that you are using for your Power Apps maker is https://make.powerapps.com/ NOT https://make.powerautomate.com/.

Pasting YAML code now works (at least for me)

I'm having the same issues with PowerApps for Teams.  Whenever I try to copy a control, I get that error message.  Even though I can paste into notepad and see the YAML.  I am NOT having this issue with my canvas apps, only my PowerApps for Teams.

I had this issue for two days and just realised that if I use the keyboard shortcuts to copy / paste (Cmd+C and Cmd+V on my Mac), works. It appears that Power Apps isn't detecting that a control was copied properly.

For me it looks like my organization managed browser is blocking the pasting :(

it worked for me when i use key board Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V instead of using mouse to copy paste as mentioned by @bnerd. Thanks  much!

    Control-Shift-V worked for me.
