Saving responses to Email with options

Hi,

I am using Email with Options actions to request a series of approvals in a workflow. Each Approval will be updated in a list and the item is considered fully approved once all required approvals are obtained. I am using 'Email with Options' over 'Approvals' action because a) I want a good format body in the email for the approver b) Approver needs flexibility to reply directly if there are any questions. Now I am stuck with a limitation.

I want the approval emails saved as .msg/.pdf or any format but need a complete email that clearly shows it came from a specific approver. If I create and send an email based on the approval action, it is not accepted with our review/audit team. Any help please?

The approval e-mails don't send an e-mail back, so if you export the e-mail that was sent, I don't think that would be accepted by your audit team either since it wouldn't contain the response. This YouTube video will show you how to export an e-mail though: https://youtu.be/HwIwiRwLQnI?si=DVydQ-XL8AhhdcIK

With the send email with options action, once a response is received the action returns the response in the body along with who the response was received from. I would save that to a text file and store it somewhere and see if that meets your audit team needs.

    Thank you @David_MA

Unfortunately saving/storing the responses in any form will not help me as the audit team wants the response from the sender's mailbox/account itself. So I am in a situation to retain the manual process of approver replying to an email while automating the entire workflow! not sure how I can achieve it :|
