application that will allow users to book a desk in a workplace

Hello,

I want to create an application that will let users to book the available(one desk can be booked by one person) desk in the workspace. I don't know where to start.

Do you have experience in building similar application ? What are the resources that I can use to achieve the desired behavior ?
