Microsoft Power Platform Build Tools for Azure DevOps - updates of internals

Hi Community!
I'd kindly ask you if someone knows the plans of MS of updating of what is used under the hood for Microsoft Power Platform Build Tools for Azure DevOps - until the  0.0.82 version it used PowerShell modules and Microsoft.CrmSdk.CoreTools, with 0.0.82 version it has been updated and used pac cli, and in current version 0.0.85 it again uses PowerShell modules and coretools. Would be great to know if such updates are planned again by reason of that these unexpected updates completely break the current build pipeline.

Heya, the build tools are open-sourced here:

microsoft/powerplatform-build-tools: Power Platform Build Tools automate common build and deployment tasks related to Power Platform. This includes synchronization of solution metadata (a.k.a. solutions) between development environments and source control, generating build artifacts, deploying to downstream environments, provisioning/de-provisioning of environments, and the ability to perform static analysis checks against your solution using the PowerApps checker service. (github.com)

Looking at it, the PowerShell is just a wrapper for the pac CLI tools anyway, so not sure why it would break your build pipeline. You can raise issues via the github repo if you want to get in touch with them directly - they don't generally use the forums here so won't have seen this post.

    Cheers!

Hey, thanks a bunch for pointing this!
    I've already asked them directly.
