Where do I start diagnosing why an app works perfectly in browser, but when ran on a device using the Power Apps App, some buttons won't work at all?
I have the same question (0)

    What do the buttons do?

The button changes a variable from false to true, which in turn makes a container become visible.

Does it work in the browser when you change the resolution to phone and tablet sizes?

I tried this in browser and it works perfectly. I tried changing the size using the Tablets menu, and with all of them, the app looks like it might be extending to the edge of the device? Not sure, this is a pretty poor representation of a device. Try harder Microsoft.

That said, the buttons do still work (red arrows), even in my Dev environment, but not on the device.

Why Microsoft... why did you ruin this forum. My word. It's so bad. You can't even display an image properly. You can't tag people. You can't reply directly to messages. You ruined it.

Your containers might probably not be flowing properly when the screen size changes.
What type of containers are using?
Did you begin the screen design with a responsive container?
Are all of your containers responsive or are you sizing and repositioning them when the screen size changes?

Most objects have a height of 60 to 40. Every element is positioned relative to other objects or their containers, so it is very responsive.

I know it's not an issue with the position of the container that gets displayed when the button is pressed, because the same container displays (based on time) automatically, and that is working. Even the button in the container works. Also, the button in question changes color when pressed and that doesn't register.
