Hello all. Please bear with me while I fumble though this editor and post my question.
I am trying to understand how to create this table in Dataverse for Teams and import the data (attached).
After creating the table, I am not able to edit the Date Field. Why?
TableName: FederalHoliday (Attached Excel File with full Data Set)
| Index (Number) | Date (Date Only) | Holiday (Text) | Year (Number) |
| 1001 | Dec 31, 2021 | New Year's Day | 2022 |
| 1002 | Jan 17, 2022 | Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. | 2022 |
| 1003 | Feb 21, 2022 | Washington's Birthday | 2022 |
Here I create the table and name the "Primary Name Column" to Index
I thought of making the Date column the primary key, but there is no way to set the "Primary Name Column" type to "Date Only".
After the table is created, I can alter the Data Type from Text to Autonumber.
So that is what I did with a seed number of 1001.
Next, I create the Date column like this:
Next, I create the Holiday Column like this:
And finally, I create the Year Column like this:
This is what I see when I try to edit the Date Field. It says the field is Read Only. Why?
I see there is a way to edit the data using Excel. I need to read the instructions on that.
I do have the data in an Excel File and would prefer just to load it into the table.
I believe this will require a Flow. That will probably be another post later.
Does it appears that I understand some key design concepts with using Dataverse for Teams for use with Power Apps.

Looks like I will not be able to edit the data using Excel. I get this message:
And according to this document, I cannot use Excel to edit the data.
Those flipping Administrators are at it again.
Thanks,
Please check the replies on the below topic ; they all suggest that you need to build a power automate flow to be able to achieve this and this topic has a detailed solution on how to do this using a flow:
Also please check this video that explains how to use Power Query which might be easier than using a power automate flow:
