Is the production environment meant for production only and the developer environment meant for development only?.

I am reading about the different types of environments available in Power Apps. In this link:

 

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environments-overview

 

It reads:

 

"Sandbox environments are used for development and testing,"

 

Is the production environment meant for production only and the developer environment meant for development only?.

    main difference is in Development and test environment you are deploying apps as unmanage and to production You deploy them as manage also on production you using live database means you do not remove records and you do not do any test on that databases also you  policy the database for archaization and protection from data loses what you do not do in Development and Test environment
