Client is having multiple requirements and I need to suggest which platform to go with, like is it better to create in .net or in PowerApps. What are the key points to consider to take this kind of decisions.  I thought some of them and please add if anyone knows more

  1. Must have office 365 license for the users who are using the PowerApps.
  2. Connectors for the data sources must be available to consider project in PowerApps.
  3. If output of the solution is app and app should be accessible from mobile, then consider PowerApps as development tool. .net based application require browser to open whereas native mobile apps require their own development for iOS and Android.
  4. Since PowerApps is in Office 365 no separate login required to the PowerApps app. Easy to view all apps from the centralized location.
  5. If we need to finish the project sooner with simple and user friendly UI we can consider PowerApps where as .net requires everything to build from scratch (apply CSS framework, JS framework etc).

    Hi @MihirY ,

I will give you my best effort below

    1. Must have office 365 license for the users who are using the PowerApps.
Yes - depending on the Data source used (not SharePoint or Excel) , this may need to a per-user licence
    2. Connectors for the data sources must be available to consider project in PowerApps.
There are a lot of connectors, with some also requiring premium licences possibly separate to the above
    3. If output of the solution is app and app should be accessible from mobile, then consider PowerApps as development tool. .net based application require browser to open whereas native mobile apps require their own development for iOS and Android.
The same app can be run in a browser as well as the Power App app in either iOS or Android.
    4. Since PowerApps is in Office 365 no separate login required to the PowerApps app. Easy to view all apps from the centralized location.
Yes - all accessible with O365 login provided permission granted to the particular app.
    5. If we need to finish the project sooner with simple and user friendly UI we can consider PowerApps whereas .net requires everything to build from scratch (apply CSS framework, JS framework etc).
I cannot add much more to that statement other than it is correct.
