How to create backup of solution in same environment?
I want to extend current app and want make changes, but before doing that I want take a backup of solution of original version
is it possible to maintain 2 versions in same environment?

I think this solution doesn't work. I tried it and Power Apps says tha the solution is already installed, even when I change the name of the zip file.
Any thoughts?

You can do following steps.
Creating a Backup of a Solution:
Export the Original Solution:
Import the Solution as a Backup:
Rename the Backup Solution (Optional):
Maintaining Multiple Versions:

Use Solution Names and Labels: Rename the solutions in a way that reflects the version and purpose. You can also use labels to mark the version and purpose of each solution.
Version Control in Development: If you're actively developing and making changes, consider using a version control system or source code repository to manage changes to your app's components before packaging them into solutions.
Document Changes: Keep track of changes, enhancements, and bug fixes in each version. This will help you understand the purpose of each version and the changes that have been made.
Testing: Before making changes to the original app, thoroughly test any changes you want to make in the backup version to ensure they work as expected.
Collaboration: If you have a team working on the app, communicate clearly about which version is the active version and when changes will be promoted to the main version.
Another thing you can do full manual copy of your environment. Go to Platform admin center. Find you environment and do Manual backup.

Please try to create a new solution and create a copy of the app. After creating the copy, add it into the new solution.
Btw, we can restore canvas app versions that were created in the last six months.
