Disable camera control when app starts

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

Hello,

I have two screens in the app, both with a camera control that is only visible when clicking an icon. Unfortunately the Camera Control is on when the app starts so I have to click and close the camera control to turn it off. This happens also when navigating between the two screens. I just want the camera control to be active when its visible.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @ShadowTech ,

I assume you have created a variable OnSelect of the icon to enable the camera control, you could create this variable OnStart of the App as well with an opposite value to make the camera control invisible.

    Hope this helps.

@v-jefferni I'm using this UpdateContext({CameraOption:true}) to make the camera visible. I just need to know how to disable the camera when the app starts or navigating from screen to screen. Right now I have to cycle the visibility of the camera to turn it off. Right now the camera is not visible but on by default when the app starts and navigating from screen to screen.

What should be in the Camera control?

    OnStart of App:

    UpdateContext({CameraOption:false})

@v-jefferni I tried that. It just gives me an error. I have that on the screen itself, which does not work. This is the problem I am having. Nothing I've tried disables the camera until I make it visible.

    Hi @ShadowTech ,

You mentioned that you have append the formula OnVisible of the screen, then have you tested with switching screens since OnVisible formulas would only be triggered when the screen being displayed.

@v-jefferni I have that on both screens. the camera is still active. Keep in mind the camera is not visible but the camera is still active.

The camera wont stay disabled until I make it visible.

Also, what should the camera control be?

In General, we have 3 properties to control the camera

    • DisplayMode = Edit
