Different citation formats in generative answers

I am using the generative answers node with both Knowledge sources (a few uploaded files) and Custom data which is filled in using a variable.

I noticed that the citations for the Knowledge sources are shown differently from the Custom data ones. For the Knowledge sources citations, when I click on them, I get a pop-up with a snippet of the cited text. However, for the Custom data citations, when I click on them, it just opens the url of the citation in a new window.

Is it possible for the Custom data citations to have the same behavior as for the Knowledge sources citations?

I am also wondering if it is possible to somehow give more than 3 Custom data sources.

Another question: Is it possible to pass the citations directly to the Message node such that they're shown the same way as the Knowledge sources citations? In some code, I see that one needs to pass an entities argument to the message/Activity, but this does not seem to be possible here.

I remember this question coming up at the Power Platform Conference last month in Las Vegas. I don't think the formatting is an option right now and/or the behaviors of the citations.

There's a limit on custom sources (from Microsoft Learn)

"...In Microsoft Copilot, you can integrate various custom data sources to enhance its ability to provide relevant information. However, there are some limitations. For instance, you can add up to four public websites as data sources for generative answers and connect two Dataverse knowledge sources with up to 15 tables per source. If you're using Microsoft Graph connectors to bring in external data, you can add two per custom copilot.
So while you can add multiple sources to customize your copilot, there are practical limits on the number of custom data inputs depending on the type of data source you're using."

You are correct, it is not possible to pass the citations directly to the message node as far as I am aware.
