How do i stop losing my work?

I am often working on an app when someone comes up and asks me about something else.
I get distracted into fixing their problems and when I come back to my screen, anything over about 5 minutes later, if I continue working then click the save icon it just whirrs away for hours.
If I refresh the page I lose all the work I've done since my last save.
This happens a lot and it's so frustrating. Yes, yes, yes, I should save more frequently, but I just get engrossed in what I'm building.
Why can't there be an auto save like everything else in Microsoft Apps?

Hi @AngusWalker,

Turn this on

Make sure if you leave, do not answer "don't save" - if is better to End Task on the browser - you will have the latest save when you come back in.
