Hi,
I have a collection in which I want to rename "Currency_" into "Currency". Here are two self explanatory screenshots:
It already exists? Then let me rename it into something else:
Well, it's actually not here. Is PowerApps drunk or am I missing something?!
This one drives me nuts!
Hi @Julien1 ,
This is a bit of a self-sustaining loop unfortunately. Once you set the code and rename the column, Powers Apps (in the "predictive" way it works) then tests the code and sees you have added the column, so therefore cannot run the code again (as you have to be able to) as the column is already there.
Another way of looking at it is that if you reference that field in the collection elsewhere in the app, Powers Apps would not know if the field will actually be there - it depends on whether you have run that code or not - therefore you would have more potentially invalid code, so as (like Excel) it is constantly re-calculating everything for validation, this simply is not within the "rules". I hope that makes sense.
