Dear Team,

for a Meal planner, i am trying to use the tablist control for showing meal timings. Under each tab the respective meal items available will be displayed in gallery control. Customer has an option to choose the preferred meal item using checkbox. I have requirement to store the meal timing with the meal items selected in checkbox into the sharepoint list. Could you please advise how to achieve this.

Well, this can be achieved in various ways, and it really depends on how you want to do it . . . For example, if certain meals are only eligible on each meal timing, let's say Palya is only eligible on lunch, while Puri is only eligible on Breakfast, you can simply add that into the gallery table, as a hidden item, and use that data when patching . . .

If you're using a SharePoint list to be the source of the gallery/galleries, you just must add another column with the timing.
If you're using a hard-coded table, just add another column to each of the items in the table.

Now, whether what I've recommended you works or not is based on how you have done the App. If you have one gallery per timing, then that's suboptimal, and is only kind of worth it, if you have the data come from several different sources. Now, if everything comes from the same table and you're using a single data source, then whatever filtering you're using to filter out the meals, is the same data you should patch into whatever column you desire in your list. . .

Edit. I did assume you knew about the patch function. Should you not know how to use the function, just let me know in your reply, and I'll happily make a demonstration on how I'd do it!

Hopefully my reply helped you to solve your problem. If that’s the case, feel free to Accept as solution this reply and give it a Thumbs Up. Should you require any further help, feel free to reply for further assistance as well.
