SQL Data source

In a last ditch effort to see if Powerapps might work for my company I am trying to connect to a SQL Azure DB. There I have a table with 41 columns of data type Varchar, Date, Numeric, with 1 Varchar(max). When I attempt to connect I get an error stating "There was a problem adding your data source. Please try again later". When I connect to the same Azure DB Server but a different table of only one column Varchar(50) I have no issues. Is there yet another limitation powerapps has with connecting to a data source?

Chris, Sorry you hit the error. We are updating the error so that you get more meaningful errors. There is no known limitation on using such a table. One common error is tryig to add a table w/o primary key. Does your table have a primary key?  Also, can you share your sessionId so that we can take a look?

That seemed to correct the issue...no primary key defined. Thanks for your help.

@SameerCh Since you helped last time I was wondering if you might help on my next issue. I am trying to use SaveData to save a small collection locally and I get the following error "There was a problem saving your data. Name could be too long." The name of the file is "iter" and there are 5 records in the collection with three columns each representing a number not larger than 10K. Not sure what is going on here?

    Hi @Anonymous,

SaveData function does not work well under PowerApps Studio in web, which would show the errors you have mentioned:

"There was a problem saving your data. Name could be too long."

We have collected this from our side.

By the way, in your another thread:

    SaveData Error

    Staff AndyPennell confirmed this symptom.

    Regards,

    Michael
