In PowerApps is it possible to read excel from Desktop

In PowerApps is it possible to read excel from Desktop and fetch data and push into Dataverse With the excel sheetname as tablename

    powerapps are not mean to do so, if you really want to use only powerapps for whatever the reason then you have to use it to select the file from desktop and upload it automatically to a cloud storage (one drive/azure storage), trigger a flow which then can read the file and create a table in dataverse for you.

     

    if you dont want any manual interaction you have to use Power Automate Desktop to automatically pick the file and process it ..

    In powerapps i want to select excel file and pass data into dataverse, if not possible background i can use ms flow as well, but the things how can i can pass data into ms flow from powerapps, how to read excel file.

    if you want to read data from excel you can use Excel connector from flow which can read data from an excel file that is available either in Onedrive or sharepoint. In the same way use dataverse connector to drop data in to dataverse.

    If the file is only available on the local machine you need to use a premium connector.

     

    Its highly recommended to make the file accesable through outlook/onedrive/sharepoint.

     

    Also I wouldn't use powerapps to actually do the work of populating dataverse, much better to use powerapps as an interface to select the correct file, then have an automate do the work
