Model driven app - Quick Create - New record with custom data

Hello,

I'm working with the PMO Miscrosoft Accelerator Tool for Projects.

In Projects>Project>Resources I've add a new form which is a new view of the same table. At the top the view is filtering the column View=Project Team. For the second one, View=Project Board.

The column View has been added by me, in order to filtering the views. Here is my problem: when I add a new member I need to send somehow the info for that column. If the new user is added in the Project Team view, I need to send to the column View the value Project Team; and similar for Project Board.

I've been checking the Quick Create but I don't find how to edit the parameter that are send.

Also, I assume that I have to create 2 quick create as each one is sending different info for column view.

Can anybody guide me with this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @aorro93

As far as I know it's not possible to use multiple quick-create forms. So either you would need to use two different tables or use the same quick-create form to handle the different scenarios.

The use-case I am seeing for your app I think both versions would work. So either have a drop-down where you select if the person added is a regular team member or a board member, or use the different tables to have a clear separation of the actual team and the board.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks for your answer.

To solved it I finally add the field View inside the quick create, so the user has to define this value. My first thought was to duplicate the table but, as it has to be done manually, there was a lot of calculate field that I couldn't see.
