Help with multiple users using created App

Hi all,

Need some advice on multiple users using an app I've created. I've created a custom log on screen and I don't want users to be able to login using their 365 accounts, I want to give them the ability to use a different login and resettable password. Is this possible?

Also once they have logged in, I only want them to see what they have done within the app. So if they fill out a form or take a photo and upload to SharePoint I want it unique to each users. Is this possible as well?

Thanks

    Hi,

    When they create items while logged in with their Office365 account, the item is created under their username, so you can filter it to only show items where they are the creator.

    Is there any reason you are trying to have an additional username and password? You could limit who uses the App by only sharing it with a security group, that way anyone else won't even be able to open the App

    Hi, thanks for you reply. I suppose I could create a security group for the app users, I was just looking at other options. I know its possible to connect the login to Azure AD. Any suggestions on how I would get the app to filter on who's logged in? I'm guessing its not just a quick process

    Well it depends on your datasource - each gallery or display of data would need a filter in place like

    Filter(
     DatasourceName,
     CreatedBy.Email = User().Email
    )

    A better way to do it is to write an additional column into your datasource that stores the text value of that person's email User Principal Name and then checks against that as the User().Email function returns the user's User Principal Name not their primary SMTP
