Form is changing values after submitting

Hi there,

I have a sharepoint list and I have made a basic app for the list. When I enter details into the form to create a new list item, everything works as it should up untill I press submit. The values in the drop down boxes will appear to change however when looking back at the item, the correct values are entered. This can be confusing as users may think that their inputs are being changed at last minute. I have attached some images to try to explain the issue better.Form.png

The left image is what I have entered into the form, then when I press the submit button, the right image is displayed for a split second and some of the values appear to have changed. However when I look at the details of the item I have just created, it has all the values I entered on the left screen. I have noticed that the right screen displays the values used on the very first item in the list if this is helpful in anyway.

Is there any way around this? It never did this previously but I am unsure what could have changed this.

Thanks

What is the Default value of the Company datacard?

Default value is ThisItem.Company, I have Parent.Default under DefaultSelectedItems on the dropdown box

Do you have it submit and go to another screen or is it doing submit and resetting the form where they can do a new entry?

All I have under On Select for the submit button is SubmitForm(EditForm1)

Sometimes there will be an error on a form when you first set it up if it is in Edit Mode and not New Mode. That doesn't mean that is all that is going on but it could be a contributing factor.

Click on your Form and to the right change the Default mode to "New" if it isn't already.

I have done this and the same issue is still occuring. What other factors could contribute to it?

I'm sorry...I thought I was commenting a different post for that last comment.

If you just have the SubmitForm() then you need to also ResetForm() and/or NewForm() or EditForm() after that. If it does the Submit and Resets right after I don't think it will show that data. If it does I often use a loader that I have pop-up to hide things I don't want people seeing.

Ive done this and now it clears the entire form before heading back to the main page. Previously it use to just keep the values that I just entered however I am unable to figure out why this has changed?

I tried to replicate the issue, but couldn't. you need to try a combination of the suggestions on this post.

-Try to reset the form on the OnSuccess property of the form. or use NewForm(YourForm) OnSuccess

-based on what you have described, I think you call the Navigate function on the OnSuccess of the form, or is it just after the SubmitForm function on your Submit button?

Hi, I have set the OnSuccess as Back() because this same form is used to add a new item or edit an item. So i just want it to either go back to the main page where they choose add new item, or to go to the details of the interaction where they choose to edit the item. It seems the only solution I can find is clearing the form before it changes screens. thanks for your help!
