Good day to all in Power App world!
I have seen a few questions here and there about these fields in SharePoint, and cannot seem to get a good solution here. My issue:
I have a power app that basically runs an enhancement request ticketing system. There are a couple thousand tickets right now and 3/4 of them were migrated from the old tool. The ones that were created using the NEW tool have the 'created date' and 'created by' just fine in the sharepoint. However, all of the ones migrated automatically put the migration date (and not the actual date created) in the field, as well as the person who migrated them into the 'created by' field. As we all know, both of these fields are 'read only', so what options do I have?
I was considering making an additional editable field and having the tool point to that field, but that would screw up any new tickets, because these arent automatically populated. Or are they? Is there a workaround here that I can easily edit the old tickets and still keep things humming normally for the new tickets created?
Thank you all!
David
These are autogenerated meta data fields and are created by SharePoint automatically when the data is entered. They cannot be deleted or modified as far as I know.
