Cannot add connection for the API: shared_sendmail. (Shared App)

Hi All,

The last few weeks i'am pretty busy creating PowerApps.

I created an App and used a Flow to send an e-mail via the MAIL connection.

This works very well via my own account, but when i share the app to my colleague, they get an error when they open the app for the first time.

This happens on the Web-version aswel on the "iPhone App" version of my PowerApp.

The exact error my colleague gets (when they accept the connections for the first time.

Cannot add connection for the API: shared_sendmail. Please make sure it exists and you have access to it.

Did i mis a important step? There is no way to "share" the MAIL connection?

I tried to publish the App via the Studio and via the Web-editor as well. And i'am using version 2.0.590

    Hi @Anonymous

I had had no issues so far in sharing apps with flows and the email connection.

In you case, is there any particular reason you need to use Flow and not simply the Office 365 Outlook connection?

    Hi Meneghino,

    Hmm ok! strange 😞

Do i also need to share the "Flow" ? I see no sharing-options in the used Flow.

The error only appears when other users (than me) opens the App for the first time.

OK, so your user gets the error the first time but from the second time then everything works as it should?

    Hi Meneghino,

The first time, (when accepting connections) like use of camera,OneDrive4Business and also "Mail".

The camera & OneDrive4Business works, but the Mail connection gets errors. "Sign up"button shows and when the user clicks on it, it gives the error i mentioned in my openning-post.

The other user is a normal co-worker with a Office365 account (and PowerApps/Flow licenses).

Understood, but does the error stop you from doing anything or if you restart the app then everything is OK?

Unfortunately not, the user won't get trough the first screen. They only can close the app.

    Clear, thanks.

I have just tested and I also get the error if my user does not have an Exchange Online email license or if this is not included in the user plan.

    Does this help?

No unfortunately, the user who tested has an active Exchange Online license activated on his account. 😞

    I am out of ideas...

Maybe try to reach out to PowerApps support directly and not through the forum.

Or maybe tomorrow @v-micsh-msft will take a look...

    Hi @Anonymous,

Have you checked the article below?

    Share app resources

There are some limitations when using Flow in a shared App, could you please share more details about the Flow Actions you used, and how the flow was added under PowerApps (with or without parameter)?

Please take a try with the team flow, see if this could help with your scenario.
