New git integration

Good morning,
I am trying to test the new git integration with power apps.

I connected the makers portal to the devops but apart from pushing a solution, I am not sure how to do the rest.

How do I pull code? Am I able to create a deployment pipeline using this method? Does each developer need a folder? is so, how do I merge code between folders?

What I mean, is there any documentation of this new integration? All I was able to find is how to connect it and push code.

Thanks
I have the same question (0)

In devops, all the solution will be part of single branch. All user will be working the same branch associated to the solution.

Code components like PCFs or plugins can be managed in separate branches or repositories as needed. If a multiple person working on Canvas app, then problem with code merge.

Deployment can be performed via Azure devops(Microsoft Power Platform Build Tools for Azure DevOps - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn) or via Power Platform

    Thanks,

    Good morning,
Thanks for your reply, but I am still not fully understanding. How do I pull the code into my environments.
Dev A - develop an app and push the code into the repository and it gets to the master(main) branch.
Dev B - create a feature branch from master and connect it to his dev environment - how does Dev B pulls the code?
I think you can only push and not pull.

I will review the deployment part.

    Thanks

    You can have two approaches.
    • If you have single dev environment, then single branch for all solution changes and separate branch for all your code(plugin and web resource) separately.

    • if you have single dev environment for each developer, then you can do as you say. Pull is possible.

Personally, I will go with single dev environment. if you have a small dev team. Changing the GIT Solution branch will give you more headache. Issue we will face is you will not able to find the single check-in in a branch(it will be multiple branch) for a task.

    Thanks,
    Vejai SH
