Unable to import solution

I am trying to export and import a solution from one dev environment to another, and I am getting this error:

There are missing dependencies. Install the following solutions before installing this one: "Active"

I have no idea where this solution is from and can't see it in either environment. Does anyone know how to get round this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

The "Active" solution is the name of the default solution / unmanaged layer.

Are you trying to import the solution as managed ?

In your case, it looks like you have an issue of managed/unmanaged component between your two environments.

    Hi @carfup

thanks for replying. I am trying to import an unmanaged solution from one dev environment which is my developer account environment into another dev (Sandbox) environment.

I've tried to import as both unmanaged and managed and had no luck with this.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Is there any third party solutions installed on your "source" environment which are not in the targeted one ?

Might also be a bug of the instance ... Asking to reinstall  the Active solution is pretty weird.
Could you maybe try to do the import in a trial or vanilla environment to validate the behavior ?

    @carfup

I've tried to install it on another environment that I have and I am getting the same error, so it must be something at the source side.

My solution is made up of CDS Entities, 1x Canvas app which is connected to OneDrive, CDS and Office 365 Groups, and 3x Flows which are connected to CDS, Azure File Storage, SharePoint and OneDrive.

I have tried to just move the Canvas app on its own and even then it won't go and shows the same error message

    Hi,

This is now a known issue of the new solution import interface. Seems that there is a potential issue with some columns of entities.
Did you try to import the solution using the "old interface" (orgxxx.crmyy.dynamics.com/main.aspx?settingsonly=true) ?

    Hi @carfup

I eventually managed to get it moved over. When I exported the solution I could go into the zip file and look at the xml for errors. That showed what was missing in more detail. The problem was some of my entities had relationships with other entities and it was forcing these to be moved over too.

I had this same issue but only when using the Power Apps interface when importing the solution.

I opened Classic Mode and I got a more useful error which told me the exact Entity that was missing from my solution.  It seems they have some work to do on the Power Apps import.
