Hi,
I have have successfully created activities that sync with Exchange online. So I can send and receive email, and also sync appointments from my Powerapps model-driven to outlook. But all the calendar events in Outlook gets "Remind me: never".Does anyone know how to set the reminder time from PowerApps or automatically set 15 minutes?
Also please let me know if this question should be posted in PowerApps instead.
Thanks
Hi @Power_Dude,
This is an old article but probably still valid... https://blog.magnetismsolutions.com/blog/davidmochrie/2017/09/05/what-to-do-when-reminders-are-missing-for-appointments-synchronized-from-dynamics-365
Please let me know if this addresses the issue...
Hope this helps. Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.
Thanks,
Drew
I don't think it can be set within Dataverse (/Dynamics 365/Power Apps) you need to set it directly in Outlook. There's no reminder column/field/feature within. A method to achieve this is to have a Power Automate flow using the Outlook connector to set the event to 15 reminder when a new one is created. Here's an example:
Hope this helps!
Hi, @EricRegnier
Wont this flow do this for all created calendar events? even the ones created directly in Outlook?
Hi @dpoggemann
I came across that link yesterday. But as i'm new to Model-driven apps / dataverse / dynamics, this is not detailed enough for me. Based on the screenshots in the link, I dont understand if it's old UI or in advanced settings. Can you please guide me in the right direction on how to find/setup workflow for this activity?
I have alot of experience in creating PowerAutomate Flows, but not for dataverse. And I'm not sure if the link is talking about PowerAutomate flow?
Yeah, it would run for all, you'll need to filter for only the ones that come from Dataverse. Maybe by a title/subject or body?
Click the gear icon on the top right, then "Advanced Settings"
Ok thanks! I will take a look to see if there is something static I can filter on. Or if I can update the Activity (appointment) row with some static value before it is synced.
If not I will take a closer look at dpoggemann's suggestion.
What I figured out was that the reminder time was set, but the the reminder was not activated:
