pac pcf init not working

Hi.

I have installed all components as described on https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/learn/modules/build-power-app-component/1-create-code-component but when I run the pac pcf init command nothing happens (see attachment).

Already removed e reinstalled, restarted computer, etc.

Any idea of what could be wrong?

    Hi @Anonymous,

I see you are using Visual Studio Developer Command Prompt.

I recommend using PowerShell or standard command line. There should be no issues once you have the Power App CLI installed.

Let us know if that helps,

    Ryan

    Hi @ryanspain

I´ve tried all of them. I will try to remove everything and install it again.

    Thanks.

    Hi @Anonymous

Not sure if this will help, but some of my colleagues had some problems with the telemetry. It was blocked somehow (not sure if the antivirus had problems, or something else).

Disabling the telemetry helped them. Maybe it's worth trying:

    pac telemetry disable

    Best regards,

    Diana

    Hi @DianaBirkelbach

Thanks for your reply, but apparently I don`t have this option?

When I run command pac help, I only see 2 options:

    C:>pac help
    Launcher usage: pac [install] [use]

install <version# | latest> Install 'latest' or a specified version of the Microsoft PowerApps CLI
use <version# | latest> Use 'latest' or a specified version of the Microsoft PowerApps CLI

    @Anonymous

Interesting!! What happens when you run following command?

    pac install latest

Can you post the output from the above command?

Install Microsoft power Apps CLI tools in order for 'pac' to be recognized. I ran into the same issue, installing this has resolved the issue.
